Overview

Kami is an innovative NFT platform that combines art and social features, allowing users to create, buy, sell, and rent NFTs, while engaging with artists and fellow collectors through following, commenting, and sharing. It supports a wide range of digital assets, from music and videos to virtual goods, fostering a vibrant, interactive community for creators and fans.

I explored how an analog experience could be translated into a meaningful digital one. The inspiration came from the experience of browsing in a vinyl record store — where discovery feels tactile, slow, and intentional.

The main challenge was that analog experiences rely heavily on physical cues, such as flipping through records, visual grouping, and spatial arrangement, which don’t directly exist in digital interfaces.

To address this, I focused on recreating the sense of discovery and browsing rather than directly copying the physical interactions. I designed the digital experience around curated collections, clear categorisation, and visual rhythm, allowing users to explore content gradually instead of being overwhelmed by choices.

The goal wasn’t to replicate the physical experience exactly, but to preserve its essence — intentional exploration and emotional connection — in a digital format.
